What your AI assistant can and cannot do

Once connected, your assistant works against your real account — your credits, your monitoring slots, your saved work.

The safeguards worth knowing

”Check this name” means a search, not an assessment

Searching takes seconds and costs nothing beyond your quota. An assessment takes minutes and costs a credit per jurisdiction. The assistant is instructed to run a search for open-ended requests — “check X”, “is X available”, “look into X” — and to create an assessment only when you actually ask for an assessment, a clearance report or a verdict, or after you say yes to one.

If the wording could mean either, it should ask first. If you want the paid thing, say so explicitly.

Paging never re-searches

A search returns a cache key; every follow-up — next page, filter, sort — reads that cached set rather than running a new search. Caches live about an hour.

Payment never happens in chat

The tools never return checkout links. Buying credits or changing plans always happens in the browser, on the billing page.

Your own marks are never assumed

If a search hit is one of yours, tell the assistant so it can declare it. It will not guess that a mark belongs to you.

Handing it a logo

An assistant cannot upload an image it was shown in a conversation. Two routes:

• Give it a public https URL to the logo — PNG, JPEG, WEBP or GIF, up to 10 MB.
• Ask it for an upload link. It returns a one-hour link to a Demarka page where you can drop a whole folder at once (up to 50 files per upload). Each file is then referenced by its original filename.

Upload links work only for the account that requested them.

Territories

Use ISO alpha-2 country codes, plus:

• EU — one EU-wide assessment: 1 report, 1 credit.
• EU_ALL — each of the 27 member states: 27 reports, 27 credits.

Registry codes such as EM and WO, and countries Demarka does not cover, come back as an error naming the supported list rather than being quietly accepted.

Rate limits

Per connected client, per user:

Reading one register record	60 per minute

Each client has its own budget, so one runaway loop cannot starve the others. Hitting a limit returns a message naming the cheaper alternative.

Working well with it

• Start every session with a search, and only escalate to an assessment on a shortlist.
• Say which countries you actually intend to file in — that is what you pay per.
• For the EU, say “one EU-wide assessment” unless you genuinely want 27 national views.
• Check your balance first if you are about to run a batch: ask it to read your wallet.
