Getting an invoice
Every charge produces an invoice — your plan, a monitoring slot pack, a credit pack. They all land in the same place.
- Open Billing in the app.
- Press Manage billing at the top of the page.
- The secure payment portal opens with your invoice history.
- Open any entry to view or download the invoice as a PDF.
Nothing needs requesting: the invoice exists from the moment the charge goes through, and stays available afterwards. Subscription renewals add a new one automatically at every billing period.
Your own record of what a charge paid for
An invoice tells your accountant what you were charged. Order history, at the bottom of the billing page, tells you what it bought: the items, the status, the total, and which assessments consumed it.
Use Order history to answer “what was this charge for”, and the portal to get the document.
What is on the invoice
Every invoice carries our side in full: the legal entity behind Demarka, its registered address in Portugal and its EU VAT number. That is what makes the invoice usable as a supplier document for your bookkeeping, and it needs nothing from you.
Putting your own company details on an invoice
An invoice is addressed to whatever is stored on your billing record. Checkout does not ask for a company name, a billing address or a VAT number — it collects only what is needed to take the payment — so those details are not on the document until you add them.
Add them in the payment portal, and do it before your next purchase. An invoice that has already been issued carries the details that were on file at the time; changing them afterwards affects future invoices, not past ones.
If a past invoice needs correcting, or your country requires a tax number the portal does not ask for, send support the charge date along with the company name, address and tax number to use, and we will reissue it.
Tax
No tax is added on top at checkout: the price you see is the amount charged, and that is the amount on the invoice. How you treat it — reverse charge, input VAT, or an expense — depends on your own country and status, so take it to your accountant rather than inferring it from this page.
Which currency you are charged in
Everything on Demarka is priced and charged in US dollars (USD). Plans, credit packs and monitoring slot packs all carry USD prices, and checkout is presented in USD.
There is no currency selector. You cannot switch the pricing page, the checkout or your invoices to euros, pounds or any other currency.
If you pay with a card issued in another currency, your bank converts the amount at its own rate and may add a foreign-transaction fee. That conversion happens entirely on your bank’s side — Demarka only ever sees the USD figure, and that USD figure is what appears on the invoice.
What this means in practice
- The amount on your bank statement will not exactly match the USD price, and will differ slightly between two charges of the same size, because the exchange rate moves.
- For accounting, your invoice is the authoritative document; it states the USD amount and the date, which is what your bookkeeper needs to apply the right rate.
- Annual billing means one conversion a year instead of twelve, which is worth a little on a non-USD card.
Refunds
Refunds are returned to the original payment method in USD, so the amount that lands back in your account depends on your bank’s rate on the day of the refund rather than the day of the charge.
The refund policy sets out what qualifies.
