What you cannot change yourself
Your email address is fixed once the account exists. To change it, contact support — it is a manual change because the address is the account identity and is tied to billing and to every share and access link ever issued to you.
Interface language
Preferred language covers six languages: English, Ukrainian, German, Spanish, French and Italian. Setting it does two things:
- The app switches to that language when you next load it.
- Demarka’s emails are sent in that language, where a translation exists. Where one does not, the message falls back to English.
You can also switch language ad hoc from the header, without changing your saved preference.
Report language is separate
An assessment report can be written in any of 20 languages, chosen per assessment in the wizard — including several not offered for the interface, such as Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese and Turkish.
Choose it for whoever will read the report, not for yourself. It has no effect on the analysis, only on the language it is written in.
Country and applicant origin
The country on your profile pre-fills the applicant origin in the assessment wizard. That field matters more than it looks: origin affects whether geographic elements in a mark read as truthful, suggestive or misleading in a given market. You can override it per assessment.
