How credits work

Credits are Demarka’s single unit of paid work. Search is not priced in credits; everything else is.

What one credit buys

One credit = one full assessment of one trademark in one jurisdiction.

The same credit can instead fund 12 months of monitoring for one region, if you choose credit funding rather than your slot pool.

So a name checked in five countries is five credits and five reports. The same name assessed for the European Union as a whole is one credit and one report.

Where credits come from

Plan credits

Paid plans grant a batch of credits at the start of every billing period.

Plan credits expire with the period — there is no rollover. Use them or lose them. If your plan’s allowance changes in the catalogue, the new number applies from your next period.

Credit packs

One-time purchases, no subscription needed, available in packs of 1, 3, 10 and 25. The 10-credit pack is flagged as best value.

Purchased credits are valid for 12 months and work on every plan, the Free plan included.

How spending works

• An assessment charges one credit per jurisdiction at the moment it is created, not when it finishes.
• If a jurisdiction fails for a technical reason, that credit is refunded automatically.
• Deleting a delivered assessment does not refund anything — the work was done.
• Credit-funded monitoring charges one credit per region, up front, for 12 months.

When you have both kinds of credit, Demarka spends the ones that expire soonest first.

Watching your balance

The header carries a Credits badge. The billing page shows the wallet in full: how many credits you have, when the next batch expires, and a table of every lot with its source (Plan allowance or Credit pack), remaining amount and expiry date.

Credit activity below it lists every movement — granted, used, refunded, expired — with the assessment or monitoring job it relates to.

Expiry warnings

Two weeks before a batch of purchased credits expires, Demarka notifies you by email and in-app, naming the number and the date. Plan credits do not trigger this warning, since they simply follow your billing cycle.

Running out mid-task

If you start an assessment without enough credits, nothing is created and nothing is charged. A dialog tells you how many you need versus how many you have and offers the cheapest pack that covers the gap. Your draft is preserved through checkout — you come back to a fully filled-in wizard.
