No free monitoring slots

What you see: “No free monitoring slots — your pool has 5 of 5 slots in use; this needs 1.” It appears when you create a monitoring job, when you add regions to one, or when you resume a paused one.

Why

Monitoring capacity is a pool of slots, one per region watched. The pool is full.

Sometimes this follows a change rather than a new job: downgrading a plan or cancelling a slot pack shrinks the pool, and jobs that no longer fit are paused with the reason “no free slot”.

Nothing is ever deleted. Paused jobs keep their settings and their entire run history.

Four ways out

The dialog offers the first three directly.

1. Add a slot pack

A monthly add-on that enlarges the pool by +10, +25 or +50 slots. Packs stack, and you can cancel any of them at the end of a period. Requires a paid plan.

Best when you have permanently outgrown your pool.

2. Upgrade your plan

Bigger plans include much bigger pools — Flex 5, Solo 100, Practice 500, Firm 1000. Worth checking before buying several slot packs.

3. Fund this job with credits

One credit per region, for 12 months, sitting outside the pool entirely. The dialog shows your credit balance and offers to use them; if you are short, it links to credit packs.

Best for a one-off, for overflow, or for a watch with a natural end date. Free-plan accounts that have used their single slot use this route.

4. Free a slot

Delete a monitoring job you no longer need. Note that pausing does not free a slot — a paused pool-funded job still occupies its slot. Only deleting does.

You can also move an existing job onto credit funding to release its slot for something else.

Automatic recovery

The nightly housekeeping pass resumes the oldest paused jobs automatically as soon as room appears. So freeing or adding a slot may be all you need to do — you do not have to resume each job by hand.
