Not enough credits

What you see: “Not enough credits — this assessment needs 5 credits, you have 2.”

Why

An assessment costs one credit per jurisdiction, charged when it is created. Credit-funded monitoring costs one credit per region. You do not have enough for what you asked for.

Nothing was created and nothing was charged. The whole request was rolled back, so you can change it or top up and try again with no side effects.

Your draft is preserved. After buying credits you land back in the wizard with everything still filled in.

Option 1 — reduce what you are asking for

Often the cheapest fix, and sometimes the better decision anyway.

• Drop countries you are not actually filing in. Each one is a credit.
• Use the single European Union assessment. Selecting the EU as one target is 1 credit for a report covering all 27 member states, instead of 27 credits for 27 national reports. If you intend to file an EU trademark, this is the correct choice regardless of price.
• Assess in stages. Do your primary market now and the rest after you have seen the result — a Critical outlook at home often changes the plan entirely.

Option 2 — buy a credit pack

Packs of 1, 3, 10 and 25 credits, no subscription required, valid for 12 months, usable on any plan including Free.

The dialog offers the cheapest pack that covers your exact shortfall, plus a link to see all packs. Larger packs cost less per credit.

Option 3 — upgrade your plan

Paid plans include credits every billing period, which is cheaper per credit than packs if you do this regularly. If your pack spending over the last 90 days would already have covered a subscription, the billing page tells you and names the plan.

Check your balance first

The Credits badge in the header shows your balance at all times. The billing page breaks it down by lot with expiry dates.

Two things that commonly surprise people:

• Plan credits expire with the billing period. They do not roll over.
• Purchased credits last 12 months, and Demarka spends the soonest-expiring credits first.

If your balance looks wrong

Open Credit activity on the billing page. Every movement is listed — granted, used, refunded, expired — with what it related to. A failed assessment’s automatic refund and an end-of-period expiry will both be visible there.
