Assessments
Downloading and sharing a report
On this page
A finished assessment can leave Demarka in two ways: as a file, or as a link.
Downloading
Download opens a dialog with up to three choices.
Format
PDF or Word. Word is the one to pick if you intend to edit or annotate the report before passing it on.
Depth
- Full — the complete report.
- Executive — a shorter version that drops the mark analysis, the explanatory information boxes, the relative-grounds notes and the assumptions and limitations. Use it for a client or a board that wants the conclusion and the actions.
Scope, for bundles
- All countries in one document — the overview followed by every country.
- Overview only — the at-a-glance table alone.
- One country.
Requirements
The report must be finished. Requesting an export while it is still queued returns a message telling you to wait. A bundle with no finished countries yet cannot be exported.
Assessment export is available on every plan, including Free — the report was paid for with a credit. Only search result export is plan-gated.
Sharing a public link
Share publishes the report at a URL that anyone can open, with no Demarka account:
- an assessment becomes
/a/<token> - a bundle becomes
/b/<token> - a saved search becomes
/s/<token>
Tokens are readable, not guessable — something like nimbus-eu-a3k9x7.
Shared pages are read-only, carry your firm’s branding if your plan includes white-label, and end with a short Demarka credit.
Withdrawing a link
Press Share again to switch it off. Two consequences worth understanding before you send a link to a client:
- The old URL dies permanently. Anyone holding it gets “This shared page is no longer available”.
- Re-sharing creates a different link. The previous URL never comes back to life, so you have to send the new one.
Which to use
Send a file when the recipient needs an artefact for their records, or when the reader is outside your workflow entirely.
Send a link when the report may still change — a shared link always shows the current version, including any edits you make afterwards.
