Deleting your account and data

How to request deletion
There is no self-service delete button. Contact support from the email address on the account and ask for it to be deleted. We handle deletion manually so that a request cannot be triggered by accident or by someone with momentary access to a session.
Before you ask
Deletion is permanent and complete — not a hidden or deactivated account. Once it is done, nothing can be recovered. Two things are worth doing first:
- Download anything you want to keep. Export your assessments as PDF or Word; a shared link will not survive either.
- Cancel any active subscription, so you are not paying for an account that no longer exists.
What deletion removes
In order:
- Any scheduled marketing emails are cancelled.
- Your customer record with the payment provider is deleted.
- Every file you uploaded — logos and similar — is deleted.
- The account itself is deleted, which cascades to your assessments and their history, your monitoring jobs and all their runs, your saved searches and notes, your notifications, your report chat history, and any AI-assistant access grants.
Public share links stop working, since the underlying reports are gone.
Smaller steps you may want instead
Deletion is not always what people actually need.
- Stop marketing email — use the unsubscribe link at the foot of any marketing message. One click, no sign-in, and it leaves everything else intact.
- Stop monitoring alerts — pause or delete the monitoring job.
- Stop being charged — cancel the subscription. The account stays and drops to the Free plan.
- Withdraw a shared report — turn its share link off. Note that re-sharing later produces a different URL; the old one never works again.
- Revoke an AI assistant’s access — Account settings → AI assistants → Disconnect.
Data we hold and why
Demarka stores what you give it — your contact details, your searches, the marks and descriptions you assess — plus the reports it generates for you. Trademark register data itself comes from public official registers.
The privacy policy is the authoritative statement of what is processed, on what basis and for how long. If you need a formal data export or have a specific data-protection request, send it to support and it will be handled under that policy.
