Filtering and sorting results

Filtering and sorting work on the results you already have. They never spend another search from your monthly allowance, so explore freely.

The filter bar

A sticky bar above the results holds every filter. Each option shows how many results it would leave, so you can see the shape of your result set before clicking.

Filter	Use it to
Status	Keep only live marks, or isolate pending applications
Classes	Focus on the classes that actually overlap with yours
Origin office	Separate national marks from EU or WIPO ones
Territory	Narrow to a single market
Matched by	Keep only certain match mechanisms — for example, drop phonetic-only hits
Date range	Restrict by application or registration date

Active filters appear as removable chips. Clear all resets everything.

Sorting

Sort by Relevancy, Application date, Registration date, Status or Origin office, ascending or descending.

Relevancy is the default and is usually right for a first pass. Sorting by application date ascending is useful when you need to know who was there first.

A practical filtering sequence

For a first read of a large result set:

1. Filter Status to live marks only.
2. Filter Classes to your own classes and their closest neighbours.
3. Filter Territory to the markets you actually care about.

Whatever survives all three is your real conflict list — usually a small fraction of the raw count.

Availability

Filters, sorting and pagination require a signed-in account. They are included on every plan, Free among them. Visitors who are not signed in see a clipped preview with no controls.
