Ways to sign in
Email and password
The standard route. Passwords need at least 6 characters, one uppercase letter and one number.
One click, no password to manage. Your email arrives already verified.
A 6-digit email code
Enter your email, receive a code, type it in. The code is valid for 10 minutes and allows 5 attempts before it is retired.
This is a sign-in method, not a second factor. It rests on the same principle as a password reset: whoever controls the inbox can already recover the account.
An account created this way has no password until you add one. Demarka offers Set a password when it is useful; adding one lets you sign in normally afterwards.
Sessions
You stay signed in across visits, and Demarka renews your session quietly in the background. Signing out ends it immediately on that device.
There is currently no “sign out everywhere” screen and no list of active sessions. If you believe an account is compromised, change the password — and revoke any connected AI assistants, below.
Resetting a forgotten password
Use Forgot Password?. The emailed link is valid for 1 hour, and requesting a new one invalidates the old.
For privacy, the confirmation screen looks the same whether or not that address has an account — so a typo produces the same message as a success. If nothing arrives, check spam, then try again with the exact address you registered with.
Connected AI assistants
If you have connected an AI client to Demarka, it holds an access grant to your account with the same permissions you have.
Review and revoke these under Account settings → AI assistants. Each entry shows when it was connected and has a Disconnect button; disconnecting takes effect immediately, and the client can be reconnected later.
This is the one revocation control Demarka gives you, and it is worth checking if you have experimented with several AI tools.
What Demarka stores
Card details are never held by Demarka — payments run through a payment provider, and Manage billing opens their secure portal.
Your searches, assessments, monitoring jobs and notes are stored against your account. See Deleting your account and data for what removal covers.
Two-factor authentication
Demarka does not currently offer TOTP or SMS two-factor authentication. If your organisation requires enforced multi-factor sign-in, use Google sign-in and apply your identity provider’s own multi-factor policy to that account.
